CDC Growth Calculator

This tool calculates and visualises CDC growth percentiles for children up to 20 years of age. It is based on the official CDC growth chart data, accessed on 30/04/2025. For children up to 36 months, the tool uses the specialised growth charts for infants and uses length instead of height measurements.

Why did I build this? Surprisingly, there are no easy-to-use tools available for calculating CDC growth percentiles, despite how common this task is. As a result, medical professionals and researchers often waste valuable time doing it manually, or worse, rely on large language models (LLMs) that do not understand the underlying calculations. This is problematic in clinical contexts, where accuracy is critical. This tool is meant to offer a fast, simple, and reliable alternative.

Usage: Enter the child’s measurements in the form below and click the “Calculate” button. Repeat this process for multiple measurements to visualise the growth trajectory.
